Speech Therapy at Oaklawn

Patients at Oaklawn who are coping with difficulties in speech, language, comprehension or swallowing receive the specialized services of a skilled language pathologist.

The pathologist creates a personalized program to improve swallowing and chewing, verbal expression, memory, organization of thoughts, sequencing, auditory comprehension, problem solving, graphic skills and visual perception and comprehension. If necessary, the pathologist will develop alternate methods of communication for the patient.
