Spacious Private Rooms

Oaklawn has more private rooms than any other rehab or nursing care facility in the region. And, for qualified patients, Medicare will pay the cost of these spacious, beautifully appointed rooms, where patients can enjoy a restful, healing experience. (See below for a floor plan)

Each of our 128 private rooms features:

• 350 sq. ft. of space, with plenty of room for visitors
• A beautiful view of our landscaping, gardens, courtyard or undisturbed woods
• A call system that is answered in person, not over an intercom, in an average of three minutes or less
• A gently lit, recessed shelf outside the door, so that patients may personalize their entryway with a plant, or piece of art.
• Each room features a large bath, shelves, and closet space for ample storage
• Individually controlled heating and air conditioning for greater comfort
• A large bathroom that is 100% handicapped accessible and includes special safety features and a wheelchair accessible shower
• Beautiful décor that includes lovely colors, adjustable window blinds between panes of glass, and carpeting for warmth and beauty
• Phone service that is available to patients on the first day of their stay
• Wiring for Internet accessibility
• A closed circuit TV channel so patients can enjoy movies broadcast from our theater in the privacy of their room
