Medicare Oaklawn has 128 private rooms and is certified by Medicare to provide skilled nursing care. Because of this certification, qualified patients can receive their care in our elegant surroundings and private rooms at no cost to them. In many facilities that have semi-private and private rooms, Medicare will not pay the additional cost of upgrading to a private room. At Oaklawn, however, Medicare covers the cost for qualified patients as they transition between hospital and home in a spacious private room. Skilled care is health care given when you need skilled nursing or rehabilitation staff to manage, observe and evaluate your care. Examples of skilled care are changing sterile dressings and providing physical therapy. |
